Danny Dyer's Brexit rant in full: Read the actor’s frank thoughts on David Cameron and Britain’s EU withdrawal
EastEnders actor attacks 'mad riddle' of Brussels bureaucracy and calls former prime minister to account, stunning Good Evening Britain hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid
EastEnders actor Danny Dyer made waves on a special evening edition of Good Morning Britain last night with his thoughts on Brexit.
The Cockney TV personality, part of a panel of guests also including Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and former Baywatch star Pamela Anderson, stunned hosts Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid with his frank call for former prime minister David Cameron to be called to account over his part in the “mad riddle” of Britain’s withdrawal from the EU.
Where is he? He’s in Europe, in Nice, with his trotters up, yeah? Where is the geezer?
Here are his comments in full, sparked when asked about his daughter Dani on the ITV reality show Love Island and her fellow contestants struggling to come to terms with the concept.
“Who knows about Brexit? No one has got a fucking clue what Brexit is, yeah. You watch Question Time, it’s comedy.
“No one knows what it is – it’s like this mad riddle that no one knows what it is, right?
“So what’s happened to that twat David Cameron who called it on.
“Let’s be fair.... How comes he can scuttle off? He called all this on. Yeah? Called it on.
“Where is he? He’s in Europe, in Nice, with his trotters up, yeah? Where is the geezer?
“I think he should be held to account for it. He should be held to account for it.
“Twat”.
