David Davis, the shadow Home Secretary, yesterday accused the Government of giving a confusing message over drugs. Jacqui Smith, the Home Secretary, will this week launch a national drugs strategy consultation in the wake of the Prime Minister's announcement of a review of the classification of cannabis and a consultation by the National Treatment Agency on drugs.
