Fowler 'must quit Group 4'

NEARLY 70 Labour MPs yesterday called on the chairman of the Conservative Party, Sir Norman Fowler, to resign his directorship of Group 4 Securitas in the wake of the 'eight escapes of prisoners' from Group 4 Court Services Ltd.

A House of Commons motion which urged him to take that course added that the Government should now suspend all further moves towards privatisation within the criminal justice system.
