London Mayor Election 2016: Zac Goldsmith unveils campaign video starring David Cameron, Theresa May and Boris Johnson
The Conservative hopeful promises a city that “works for all Londoners”.
Zac Goldsmith has released an election campaign video in which he promises a plan that “puts Londoners first.”
It starts off by complementing the incumbent mayor Boris Johnson for “putting London back on the map”, before outlining his plan to improve transport services and the supply of housing.
Mr Goldsmith emphasises his on-going commitment to green policy and pledges to make London “the greenest city in the world by cleaning up our air and protecting our precious green spaces.”
Prime Minister David Cameron and Home Secretary Theresa May both make appearances in support of the Conservative candidate before Mr Johnson makes an impassioned plea.
“The Mayor is reliant on Westminster for money to spend in London. If the next Mayor can’t work with the Government to secure the funds and powers needed to get things done, Londoners will suffer.”
“Zac Goldsmith is the only candidate who can do that.”
Londoners go to the polls on 5 May to elect a new Mayor of London.
