CSA REVIEW: The safety of Child Support Agency staff is being kept under close review, Alistair Burt, under-secretary for social security, said. He told Michael Meacher, the Labour spokesman, there were strict procedures for the safe handling of incoming mail, including the use of X-ray machines, and procedures were in place to minimise the risk to visiting officers. Fears by staff who did not wish to give their names were treated sympathetically.
