TRIDENT COSTS: The projected cost of Trident rose by pounds 955m to pounds 11.63bn last year, Malcolm Rifkind, Secretary of State for Defence, disclosed. The proportion of UK work on the nuclear submarines fell from 74 per cent to 70 per cent.
