HEALTH COSTS: The Department of Health reduced the running costs of its offices by pounds 13m in 1993-94, Tom Sackville, the health minister, disclosed. He said more than pounds 10m was saved by relocating part of the department's operations to Quarry House, Leeds, and concentrating London staff in fewer buildings. Rent on departmental buildings came to pounds 41.1m in 1992-93, but this was reduced to pounds 30.9m in 1993-94.
