HEALTH CASH: Welsh health authorities will receive pounds 1.536bn next year, the Secretary of State for Wales, John Redwood, said. This included pounds 1.3bn for current expenditure, an increase of 4.3 per cent.

COAL IMPORTS: Coal worth pounds 687m was imported last year, the energy minister Tim Eggar said.
