CLEVELAND: The county council will be abolished next April, subject to a judicial review, under plans announced by the local government minister David Curry. He said polls for new all-purpose authorities at Hartlepool, Langbaurgh-on-Tees, Middlesbrough and Stockton will be held in May 1995.
