AIR MYSTERY: Despite a thorough investigation, the Civil Aviation Authority has been unable to identify the aircraft involved in an incident in Watchfield, Oxfordshire, last month when what appeared to be a carbon aerial crashed through the roof of a house into the bathroom. Steven Norris, Under-Secretary for Transport, said the object, a 'static wick' which discharges static electricity from an aircraft's wings, made a two-inch hole in the roof. No one was injured.
