PRISONERS' COMPLAINTS: The Prisons Ombudsman, Sir Peter Woodhead, has received almost 400 complaints from prisoners since his office started work on 24 October last year, the Prisons Minister, Michael Forsyth, said last night. In a Commons written reply,Mr Forsyth said that by last Wednesday, Sir Peter, who has visited 37 jails since his appointment, had received 398 grievances to consider.
