ROYAL TRANSPORT: The Royal train was used on 95 days in 1993-94 at an average cost per journey of £19,101, John Watts, the junior transport minister, said in a Commons reply to Andrew Mackinlay, the Labour MP for Thurrock. In addition, British Transport Police security costs totalled £634,988.
