Red Hot TV, the pornographic satellite channel, is to challenge the proposed ban announced yesterday by Peter Brooke, Secretary of State for National Heritage.
Mr Brooke said in a written Commons answer that it would be illegal to sell decoders for the encrypted channel, or to advertise on it, or to provide any other service to support it. But it will not be illegal to receive programmes.
