An extremely rare first edition of The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter, one of around 200 she printed privately in 1902 after six publishers rejected her manuscript, was sold for pounds 28,600 at Christie's - estimate pounds 2,000- pounds 3,000.
