A 25-member pools syndicate from the City of London Police won a pounds 1.3m payout. Each member, who spent pounds 1 a week on their Littlewoods entry, will get pounds 47,000. The Bishopsgate syndicate has had 45 previous wins using random numbers chosen nine years ago - the largest was pounds 11,000.
