Pounds 500m overdue

More than pounds 500m of poll tax remains unpaid for the first three years in Scotland, where the tax was introduced a year ahead of England and Wales, according to the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities. It said nearly 80 per cent was still to be paid in the current financial year.
