A 74-year-old woman was tied up, gagged and raped by a masked raider who broke into her flat in an old people's complex at Dagenham, east London.

Scotland Yard said a second man ransacked the first-floor flat as the first assaulted the woman, who was treated in hospital for shock and other minor injuries.
