The pop group, Right Said Fred, is being sued in the High Court over claims that it's single, 'Deeply Dippy', which was in the charts two years ago, was plagiarised from another musician's song.
Jim Penfold, who is seeking damages from the group's three members, and the publishers Hit and Run Music, headed the band Jim Penfold and the Hollywood Killers, and claims that the song is 'substantially' a copy of 'She's The Kinda Girl' which he composed in 1987. All four defendants deny breach of copyright.
