Gordon Brown, the shadow Chancellor, said a Labour government would review the 'waste' in the Civil List for the Royal Family. He said on the BBC 1 Question Time programme that most people would support expenditure on the Queen and the Queen Mother but would question spending on the rest of the Royal Family.
