RUC pays damages to soldiers

Six soldiers have won undisclosed damages after being unlawfully arrested by the police in Northern Ireland.
They sued the RUC for unlawful detention after being detained during an investigation in 1989 into collusion between loyalist paramilitaries and members of the security forces. None of the six was charged.
