Cowes Week organisers criticised sailors who blocked an emergency radio channel with 'social chit-chat' while rescuers attempted to save one of two competitors who died on Monday. The victims were Brian Walton, 35, from Washington, Tyne and Wear, and Catherine Acland, 30, from Compton Abbas, Dorset.
