Dr Gerald Moore, an art collector and painter, who is selling the contents of Heathfield Park, East Sussex, through Sotheby's on 19 May. He hopes to use part of the proceeds - expected to be pounds 300,000 - to establish an arts academy in North Devon, where he now lives.
