Salmonella hits primary school

Fifteen children have been admitted to hospital in a suspected salmonella outbreak at a primary school.

Health experts said school dinners served on Monday at Ardeer school, in Stevenston, Strathclyde, were probably the source. Nearly 60 children at the school, which has 160 pupils, were absent from classes yesterday.
