BARONESS Thatcher and outspoken Church leaders seldom saw eye to eye during her administration but perhaps they may unite over a controversial depiction of her departure, writes Steve Boggan.

Church leaders have criticised the use of Spitting Image's adulteration of The Last Supper as the centrepiece for an exhibition on satire at the Barbican in London from 13 August. The tableau depicts Lady Thatcher as Christ; Virginia Bottomley serving up the head of Neil Kinnock; Norman Lamont examining the bill; Michael Heseltine making a crucifix . . . and Sir Denis Thatcher under the table.
