An armed robber was pinned to the ceiling of a building society office by a bullet-proof shield that shot up as he leant over the counter demanding cash. It caught his head and shoulders and he was still trapped and screaming for help when police officers, alerted by an alarm, walked into the office at Holywood Arches, east Belfast.
