Sewage bills to rise 9%

Average domestic water and sewage bills will rise this year by 8 per cent and 9 per cent respectively, the water watchdog, Ofwat, said.

The increases mean households will typically pay pounds 185 for water and sewage services compared with pounds 169 last year.
