A shopworker who claimed she was sacked for refusing to work on Sundays won a claim for unfair dismissal. The hearing had been seen as a test case, but the tribunal in Hull decided that a refusal to work on Sunday had not been the reason why Ruth Taylor, 50, of Scarborough, had been dismissed. She was awarded pounds 324 compensation.
