Sinn Fein has outlined a formal structure of public and private deliberation to underpin its response to the Downing Street declaration.

The party's peace commission will convene four hearings to 'consult a wide spectrum of public and private opinion on how to establish a lasting peace in Ireland'. They will take place in Londonderry, Dublin, Galway and Cork between 28 January and 19 February and be led by Maraid Keane, head of the party's womens' department. The findings will be made public.
