Skier banned

Desmond Cheyne, 18, was banned from driving after he was caught being towed by a car along a snow-covered road on a pair of skis. Banff sheriff court in Grampian was told that Cheyne, of Banff, who admitted a charge of aiding and abetting, was towed at up to 25mph by Steven Neish, 21, also of Banff, who admitted careless driving. Both men were given three penalty points.
