Store fined for 'sale'

Allied Carpets was fined pounds 23,000 and ordered to pay pounds 6,700 costs for putting up prices in a sale after a test case brought by trading standards officers. Swansea magistrates were told that 'reduced' items of furniture could have been bought for pounds 50 less the day before the sale.
