Surgeon killed

A 20-year-old man was arrested after a retired police surgeon was found dead at his home in Lytham, Lancashire. Police said they believed the body of Dr Alan King, 65, who had severe head injuries and two severed fingers, had lain in his flat for two days before being found on Wednesday.
