The National Trust's latest historic attraction was opening today, in east London. Sutton House, Hackney, a red brick house built on a H-plan and dating from the early 16th century is undergoing a three-year restoration programme. Its features include Tudor fireplaces, linenfold panelling and Jacobean wall paintings.
