David King, 54, of Stratton St Margaret, Wiltshire, the former secretary of Swindon Town FC who told the Football League about its tax-free payments to players, was given a six-month suspended prison sentence at Winchester Crown Court after admitting conspiring to cheat the Inland Revenue of pounds 100,000.
