Martin Mooney is the first of four poets to be shortlisted for the pounds 5,000 Forward Poetry Prize for Best First Collection. The winner will be announced on 15 November. He was born in Belfast in 1964, later he established himself as writer-in- residence at the Poet's House in Portmuck, County Antrim. This is from his first collection Grub, published by Blackstaff Press at pounds 5.95.
