Daniel Weissbort was born in 1935 in London. Before going to the United States in 1973, he published two collections of his own poetry, as well as a number of volumes of poetry translated from the Russian. He is now professor of English and Comparative Literature at the University of Iowa. This poem appears in Nietzsche's Attache Case, published by Carcanet at pounds 8.95.
