Pauline Prior-Pitt was born in Hull and now lives in Warwick, where she regularly performs her poetry at festivals. Her collections include Waiting Women (Spike Press, 1989) and In the Heat of the Moment (Spike Press, 1991). This poem will be featured in her new collection out next year.

In the poem Bosnia Tune, copyright 1992, by Joseph Brodsky, which appeared yesterday, verse six was a misprint.
