Police investigating the deaths of five patients from Cumbria are considering exhuming two bodies after arresting a local doctor.

The 50 year-old doctor from Carlisle, who worked in a methodoneprescription scheme for drug addicts, has been released on police bail after being questioned.

Detectives are waiting for forensic test results into the dead patients before deciding what further action to take.
