Cable cars were tested on the new link across the Thames in London yesterday.

The £50m network links the Greenwich Peninsula to the Royal Docks, where the O2 and ExCel arenas respectively will host London 2012 Olympics competitions. The gondolas carry passengers 160ft above the water.
