Lower Slaughter may not sound like a destination for lovers, but a road in the village has been voted Britain's most romantic street.

Copse Hill Road in Gloucestershire took the prize in the Google Street View Awards.

South Shore Road in Gateshead was voted the hippest street, while Bondgate Within in Alnwick won the award for the best shopping street.

Calum Milne, who manages a hotel in Lower Slaughter, said: "I am chuffed to bits."

Over 20,000 people voted for the awards.
