Three people were wounded yesterday in a new outbreak of shootings on Merseyside. A 21-year-old woman, was hit in the hip by a stray bullet as she looked for a taxi. She and a 27-year-old man were both wounded when six shots were fired in the centre of Liverpool.
The double shooting happened just hours after Paul Forster, 22, from Liverpool, was shot in the city's Toxteth area in an unconnected incident. He is understood to have a stomach wound from a single shotgun blast.
