The leader of a gang of torturers who held a businesswoman captive for 40 hours was jailed for 10 years at the Old Bailey.

Eldon Brown, 25, of Shepherd's Bush, west London, was convicted of abducting, robbing, wounding, indecently assaulting and causing grievous bodily harm to the victim, aged 40, from New York. He claimed she owed him money. The woman threw herself from a fourth-floor window to escape. She broke her pelvis and four bones in her back and suffered numerous other injuries.
