Sandra Gregory, 28, from Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire, admitted possessing heroin when she appeared in court in Bangkok yesterday accused of attempting to smuggle the drug out of Thailand. Robert Lock, 29, from Cambridge, denied the charge at the same hearing.

Ms Gregory and Mr Lock were arrested at Don Muang international airport on 6 February. The prosecution claims she was carrying 102 grams (3.6oz) of pure heroin in a condom in her rectum. The case was adjourned until 14 September.
