The unborn baby of a pregnant woman who was stabbed in the stomach by a mugger has died. The 27-year-old woman underwent two operations at St James's Hospital, Leeds, following the attack on Tuesday night in the Chapeltown area of the city, but doctors were unable to save the baby.
