Vicar granted bail

A vicar and his organist, who are accused of stealing four paintings from a church, were remanded on bail. The Rev Stephen Ashton, 38, and Cameron Luke, 24, are alleged to have stolen the prints from St John the Baptist Church at Morwenstow, north Cornwall, Launceston magistrates were told.
