THE West Indies' cricket tour of India, due to begin next week, has been postponed for seven days because of the epidemic.
The squad had been set to arrive on Wednesday with the first one-day international scheduled for 12 October in Baroda, near the centre of the outbreak. The tour is now expected to start with a one-day international in the northern city of Faridabad on 17 or 18 October.
Officials from the Board of Control for Cricket in India said the West Indians requested a postponement. 'The new schedule will be decided after consultations with the West Indian authorities,' a spokesman said.
