Scottish and French Hoover workers joined forces in Brussels last night in a call for minimum EC standards of workers' rights to prevent exploitation by multi-national companies. Hoover is creating 400 new jobs at its plant at Cambuslang, near Glasgow, and scrapping 700 at Dijon in France.
