The United Nations tribunal on the 1994 Rwanda genocide said yesterday it had resumed trials after a three-month recess and was using a second courtroom it hoped would speed up the process.
The tribunal resumed the trial of Georges Rutaganda, a businessman and former vice-president of Rwanda's extremist Interahamwe militia, who is accused of genocide and crimes against humanity, a tribunal spokesman said.
