11am: Gulf War commander General Norman Schwarzkopf denounced US President Bill Clinton's handling of the conflict.
8pm: Nato planes attacked Yugoslavia's already crippled electricity system and pounded Serb military targets in Kosovo.
9pm: About 2,000 army reservists from Krusevac in southern Serbia were reported to have returned home from Kosovo last week after hearing of anti-war protest demonstrations by families there.
9.20pm: The US Senate rejected the use of ground troops but said it would consider plans for a non-combat deployment to help refugees return home.
