It's fair to say that sportscaster overreaction videos are plentiful on the internet, but this one regarding Canada's triumph over USA in women's hockey at the 2014 Sochi Olympics takes some beating.

The three pundits were calmly discussing the game one minute, then erupting in patriotic whooping the next.

Any hockey encounter between Canada and the USA is always going to be heated, but this one proved particularly intense as the final went to overtime.

Canada’s Marie-Philip Poulin scored in the eight minute to win the gold, leading the Sports Net Canada hosts to leap out of their seats.

Here's the pretty ecstatic transcript from the moment:

"Ohhhhh! What! What! What! Woo hoo! That's what I'm talking about! Haha! That's what I'm talking about!"

Returning to his seat, one pundit rounded it off with a very Alan Partridge: "Knock knock, who's there? Gold medal in the face, that's who's there!"
