As you gorge on Easter eggs, scoff down roast dinners and struggle not to fall asleep in front of the TV over the bank holiday weekend, take a moment to think of Holiday – a confused dog who has gone viral in quite possibly the most meta video ever made.

The YouTube video, aptly titled “Holiday barking at herself barking at herself barking at herself,” has garnered over 40,000 views in three days since it was uploaded on 14 April 2014.

In the 30 second clip put online by user Daniel Eastvold, the small, golden-coated dog sits barking at a computer screen.

On the screen is a video of her pawing a TV set in a living room, which also shows her barking.

The video comes as dog owners are being warned to be on high alert this Easter and ensure that chocolate is hidden away to ensure dogs are not harmed as a result of chocolate poisoning.
